Celebrity Crap - name of the "entertainment news" segment that airs at 6:50 and 7:50a every weekday morning, anchored by Nycki Pace. Origins date back to JACK For The Drive Home afternoon show originally hosted by Truta in 2007-2008. The segment was conceived as a sarcastic look at the entertainment headlines of the day and was entitled "Celebrity Crap That Nobody Cares About," referring to the fact that people continually put down Britney Spears yet can't get enough news about her. The name was shortened to "Celebrity Crap" with the move to JACK's Big Breakfast in February 2008 and got a permanent timeslot. Anchored by Truta until Nycki joined the show in February 2009. In early 2009 a reporter from gossip website TMZ.com joined as guest host for the Thursday 7:50a segment. The "Celebrity Crap" name is also used as the branding statement for all entertainment headlines sent out by JACK FM over the website or Twitter/Facebook feeds.
Cheeks - intern during the Summer of 2009 who loved to wear short-shorts that showed off her buttcheeks, hence the nickname. Her brain, like her shorts, was tiny and her exploits both in and away from the radio station were the frequent topic of conversation on the show.
Chimp - audio clip of a 911 call frequently played by Truta as a way to push Nycki's buttons and get her fired up. Refers to the story of a woman whose pet monkey went crazy and (nearly?) killed the woman's friend. The 911 call contains funny audio of a woman screaming about a wild monkey as well as humorous noises of the chimp in question. Usually any mention of a monkey, a chimp, or a wild animal will trigger the playing of this clip, also resulting in an admonishment from Nycki. Related references: The Chimp Is Ripping Her Face Off; The Monkey Is Killing My Friend
Chris - another frequent caller who can talk at length about any subject. Always phones in from work, which Nycki and Truta believe is in a tire shop...a-la the manager from the movie Major League. A call from Chris usually elicits the movie quote, "I got a guy on the other line about some white walls, I'm gonna have to call you back!"

See also: JACK's Eight Tracks

The player receives points for each celebrity death, awarded on a sliding scale. In addition, two Poor Bastards are chosen by each player. These must be celebrities under the age of 50 with no previously known diseases. Poor Bastards are awarded higher points than usual because no one anticipates a Poor Bastard dying and inclusion on your list is a happy accident. Every year Truta fills out his death pool on the air and solicits suggestions from listeners. Nycki is also very opposed to playing the Death Pool and refuses to participate. In fact she cringes at its very mention.
Double Barrell - The double handed middle finger salute.
E
E105 - former radio station on the 105.1 frequency in Kansas City, precursor to JACK FM and the place where Nycki and Truta first came together for radio greatness. Since there are now basically the same people playing somewhat the same music on the same frequency, some old-school listeners still mix up the names and call the station E105.

Always a show favorite, Warren makes it to KC at least twice a year to perform at Stanford's Comedy Club.

G
Girly Mudd Flaps - Nycki's term for Lower Lady Parts. See also: Lady Mudd Flaps
Glazer, Craig - owner of Stanford's Comedy Club and frequent comedic foil for guests on the Friday edition of JACK's Big Breakfast. Gonorrhea - the answer always given to a caller who is trying to answer a trivia question on another radio station but ends up dialing the JACK studio by mistake. Usage example: Caller, "Is the answer a clothes line?" Truta, "I'm sorry, the answer we were looking for was gonorrhea." Most always met with silence or a simple, "Oh." The most epic plays of this gonorrhea game are when the caller is certain he or she is right, only to be reminded that the correct answer is, indeed, gonorrhea.
H
Hewitt, Jennifer Love - one of Truta's favorite girls of all time. Truta never misses an opportunity to talk about J-Love on the show or, if even the smallest chance exists, play one of her songs.
Hiking The Appalachian Trail - now commonly accepted slang for having an affair. Occasional reference made on the show but hasn't taken off like Truta's wanted. Alludes to excuse given by South Carolina governor Mark Sanford for his being out of the office and unreachable. While he told his office staff he would be "hiking on the Appalachian Trail," Sanford was actually visiting his Argentenian mistress.
Hills, The - pseudo-"reality" show on MTV. Another benchmark of the crap television that Truta loves. Listeners may remember how excited Truta was when the station was sent copies of "The Hills: Season 2" on DVD...and he was bad and stole one!

Past themes include songs with colors in the title, songs featuring the talkbox, or even #1 songs of 1992. Listeners are invited to "assist" in making the list by contributing suggestions for themes or titles that would fit a particular theme. Listeners can also challenge the "Crack Research Team" to find songs to fit a particularly tough theme. It is a running gag that this "team" is rewarded with free Chipotle as payment for their work on the day's Eight Tracks. The segment began with the first JACK's Big Breakfast on February 25, 2008. In the meantime, Truta checks in on the line - usually on the air - to listen in on the person's conversations, what other stations they're listening to, etc. No prize is awarded as the person usually just hangs up when they realize they are making a call.

Alludes to excuse given by South Carolina governor Mark Sanford for his being out of the office and unreachable. While he told his office staff he would be "hiking on the Appalachian Trail," Sanford was actually visiting his Argentenian mistress.
