Spent a few days in Las Vegas. I'd never been there before, so I was determined to see everything!

Actually, I don't gamble AT ALL, but if I did this would be the first machine I'd put money into for sure.

I re-read When the Mob Ran Vegas, an account of the early days of this fascinating town. Not long ago I spent several weeks with author Steve Fischer, recording the 6-CD audiobook version. Steve's an interesting guy to hang out with, he knows this town inside-out and was happy to share extra stories not included in the original publication.

Not so long ago, JACK-FM rolled up to the new building for Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville.

Most of us avoid hospitals -- but on a day when you need one, it's great to have a place so state-of-the-art.

Silence! I am working on my Kraftwerk tribute album over here, do not meddle with my mad genius.

I keep the Airwolf theme cued up in the CD player in case a helicoptor lands next to the JACK-FM hummer.

This isn't just any helicoptor. It's Life Flight Eagle, the air ambulance that saves lives every day.
