Spent a few days in Las Vegas. I'd never been there before, so I was determined to see everything!

Actually, I don't gamble AT ALL, but if I did this would be the first machine I'd put money into for sure.

Even the McDonald's looks brighter in Vegas. Not that there's a shortage of fancier restaurants though!

The shopping malls are also larger than life in Vegas. Believe it or not, this is just the entryway!

The best things in life are free. Like a cool front-row view of the fountains, set to the timeless music of Frank Sinatra.

After an exhausting day of sightseeing, it's nice to lounge by the private pool with my new issue of Mojo magazine.

I re-read When the Mob Ran Vegas, an account of the early days of this fascinating town. Not long ago I spent several weeks with author Steve Fischer, recording the 6-CD audiobook version. Steve's an interesting guy to hang out with, he knows this town inside-out and was happy to share extra stories not included in the original publication.

Spotted this rather large ad at the airport and did a double-take. Hmmm, mental note for my next visit?

A nice view of Grand Canyon National Park from the airplane.
