JENN'S HOLLYWOOD COMMENTARY
It's official: JIMMY FALLON will take over for JAY LENO on the "Tonight Show" sometime next spring. And this time, it sounds like Leno is cool with it. He released a statement saying, quote, "Congratulations Jimmy. I hope you're as lucky as me and hold on to the job until you're the old guy. If you need me, I'll be at the garage."
Let's be honest, if you didn't see this one coming you had to be living under a rock!
HEATHER MORRIS, who plays the dumb cheerleader Brittany on "Glee", is reportedly three months pregnant. The father is Heather's longtime boyfriend Taylor Hubbell, whom she met in high school. A source says, quote, "It was totally unexpected, but they are incredibly happy and excited." Heather is 26.
Word is that she told friends "This was a complete surprise, I don't know how this happened!" IF that is true, then all I can say is "Heather, you probably shouldn't say things like you don't know how it happened...you start to sound like the dumb cheerleader that you play!"
The "New York Post" says MATT DAMON and his wife Luciana Barroso will renew their vows a week from this Saturday in St. Lucia. They reportedly spent $1 million to rent out an entire five-star Caribbean resort for the occasion. Guests will includeGeorge Clooney and Stacy Keibler, and Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner.
This is a far cry from their first wedding which was very low key, and even though Tall Guy disagree's I think this is very sweet.
BON JOVI guitarist RICHIE SAMBORA has left the band's current tour due to "personal issues." Naturally, there's speculation that Richie has fallen off the wagon again, but he says he's OK. He Tweeted, quote, "Thank you everyone for your concern. I'm well, but had to stay in L.A. to take care of a personal matter."
Word is that this is really over money and big ego's, and to that I saw whaa whaaa you big babies! Work it out, people are paying a lot of money to see you as a group so put your fans first and your issues on the back burner.
Film critic Roger Ebert's cancer has returned and he plans on slowing down his career. Ebert was first diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2002. He underwent several surgeries in the years after and lost his voice in 2006 as a result of complications from one of the operations. He announced on his website this week that his cancer had returned and would require him to scale down his workload while he receives treatment.
Lamar Odom's charity, Cathy's Kids, never donated a single dollar to the AAU basketball program. ESPN's "Outside the Lines" found documents showing that $1.3 million of the $2.2 raised by the charity was donated to "AAU team sponsorship" instead of cancer research. But, according to the president of AAU, the charity didn't donate any money directly AAU. Odom could have used the money to finance an independent local team that was allowed to participate in AAU events. A source says Odom indeed had teams he funded for their expenses for AAU sanctioned events.
This is not looking good for Lamar and Khloe who is standing up for her man. I'm a little surprised Mama Kardashian hasn't stepped in on this one!
